Beta and Early Access Terms

Last updated 1 October 2026

Draft — not yet reviewed. This document was prepared as a starting point and has not been checked by a lawyer. Do not rely on it as a binding agreement until it has been reviewed.

Version 2026-10-01. These terms apply when an owner or administrator of a business (“you”) switches on a feature marked Early access or In beta in Coyoteshift or CoyoteTrack (a “Testing Feature”). They add to our Terms of Service; where the two differ about a Testing Feature, these terms apply. You accept them for your business when you switch a Testing Feature on, and they keep applying to anything that happened while it was on.

1. What Testing Features are

Testing Features are still being developed. We release them in stages so that businesses who choose to try them can help us find problems before anyone depends on them day to day (see how new features reach you). While a feature is in early access or beta it may have bugs, give wrong or incomplete results, run slowly, change, be paused or be withdrawn, sometimes without notice. That includes features that calculate hours, overtime, pay, tips, labour cost or tax figures, and features that keep records or send reminders for licences, safety or other legal requirements.

2. Your part

3. Our part: fixing problems

We will make every reasonable effort to look into problems you report and to correct them promptly, and we will tell you if we find a problem that affected your data. We cannot promise a fix within a set time, or that every problem will be fixed before a feature changes or is withdrawn. You can switch a Testing Feature off at any time. Switching it off does not delete the records it created, unless we tell you otherwise in advance.

4. Anonymized data used to improve our products

When you switch on a Testing Feature, you allow us to create anonymized data from the information associated with that feature or needed to develop it, and to use that anonymized data to develop, test, fix and improve Testing Features and our other products.

5. As-is use and limits on our liability

Testing Features are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. You use them at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using or relying on a Testing Feature, including wrong pay, overtime, tip or tax figures, missed or late reminders, incomplete or incorrect records, lost or corrupted data, or interruption to your business. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited as described in section 11 of our Terms of Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. When a feature leaves testing

A Testing Feature may become a standard feature, a paid feature or an add-on, or may be withdrawn. We will tell you before a feature you use starts to cost extra, and you can choose not to continue.

7. Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve our products without owing you anything for them. You are never obliged to give feedback.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email account owners before a material change takes effect; the version in force is the one shown here.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA.
